So I believe Dakota will be leading this discussion!! This is to discuss Samantha, which will be over a 6-day period, so from today or tomorrow to 6 days from then? Right?

Thanks so much for making this! Sounds great, Amelia! Alright, here's the discussion questions for Chapter 1: 1. Have you ever met someone like Eddie Ryland? How did you interact with him/her? 2. What do you think Grandmary is like by what the chapter says about her? 3. Do you think Jessie is as good of a story teller as the author says she is? Why or why not? Sorry if I sound so school-y!

Okay: 1. Sadly, yes. 2. I have read it before, but the first time, too proper. 3. Yes. I can imagine her as the best story teller ever. I think just because Samantha likes her so much.

Here are the questions for chapter 2:
1. Do you think Samantha always acts proper around Grandmary, even after their hour together? 2. Why do you think it was such a disgrace to have a car drive up to your house for Grandmary? 3. Why do you think Samantha didn't believe Eddie? (This one is pretty obvious.)

1. Um. To an extent, she will. 2. Modern. Just being modern disgraces Grandmary. 3. BEST REASON, he is Eddie. Who'd believe him anyhow?

I'm sorry I'm late! I had an extremely busy day yesterday so I might be one day late to finish. Anyway, here's chapter 3's discussion questions: 1. Why do you think Samantha liked the tunnel so much? 2. Why do you think Samantha was so shocked when she found out that Nellie was there to work and couldn't even afford coal? 3. Why do you think Nellie didn't want Samantha to help her with the chores?

1. It's [usually] a private, quite spot, that she could just sit and think or dream. 2. Because she was so young. I don't think Sam knew people so young had to do such hard work. Or do you mean it in a different way? 3. Because if Sam did, maybe they wouldn't pay Nellie her fair share, since she didn't do all of it herself. And maybe even be fired for being 'lazy' and 'letting someone do the servant girls work for her'

I might not be able to do it in six days, Amelia. I'm really busy.
